In January 2004, HAPBC acquired a 21% interest in Kingway Brewery Holdings Ltd (KBH) which brews and distributes the popular Kingway beer in Guangdong, one of China's largest and wealthiest provincial markets.

KBH is one of the largest breweries in the Guangdong Province. Supported by an extensive network of some 200 distributors across the PRC, Kingway beer is sold and distributed in 11 provinces, covering over 50 cities and countries in the PRC.

Currently, KBH operates four plants in Guangdong - two in Shenzhen, one in Shantou and another in Dongguan. To further boost its foothold in Guangdong, KBH is building yet another brewery in Foshan.

As part of its plan to expand beyond its home province of Guangdong, KBH also brews Kingway beer in Tianjin; Xi'an, the capital city of the Shaanxi province; and Chengdu in the Sichuan provincial capital.
