APB FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The APB Foundation strongly believes that a good education allows our youths to lead financially independent lives and to contribute actively to society. Through the APB Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities, we aim to build an inclusive society and help youths with disabilities fulfill their aspirations.

Originally introduced in 2004 and open only to students who are physically-disabled, the Scholarship has since been extended in 2008 to include tertiary students with hearing, speech and visual impairment. Currently, the Centre for Enabled Living, incorporated by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth & Sports is the Foundation’s partner and administrator of the Scholarship. Our partners also include the Singapore Association for the Deaf, Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped and the Society for the Physically Disabled. Each year, the APB Foundation awards three students with scholarships worth $11,000 per year for the duration of their course of study (full-time) up to a maximum of four years. The Scholarship is eligible only to admission to the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University and SIM University. To date, we have enabled 19 scholars majoring in areas such as Accountancy, Arts & Social Sciences, Business, Civil Engineering, Information Systems Management, Material Science & Engineering.
