July 2004 APB Foundation Donates to the Singapore Nurses Association
Recognizing the expanding role of Singapore nurses and to enable them to better themselves and advance in their profession, APB Foundation donated $300,000 to the Singapore Nurses Association (SNA) to set up a Resource Centre for nurses. Officially opened on 4 July by the Patron for SNA - the First Lady, Mrs S R Nathan, the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Nursing Resource Centre is accessible to more than 3,000 SNA members, consisting of registered nurses, enrolled nurses and student nurses. Equipped with a wide collection of books, journals and extensive online databases on nursing and topics related to the healthcare industry, this Resource Centre allows SNA's members to now conduct their own research and analysis, and learn from best practices in healthcare around the world.
