ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

APB is committed to the preservation of the environment for the benefit of all stakeholders of today and future generations. We meet our commitment by:

Regularly assessing and auditing all our operations to measure conformance to our policies and standards with the goal of continuous improvement.
Producing products which are consistent with our environmental responsibility. We continue to look for ways to reduce waste, promote recycling, and increase efficiency of our energy and water usage in our facilities.
Working with local communities, government agencies, and industry groups to meet our environmental responsibilities.

Energy Efficiency

APB uses energy throughout our value chain - from brewing and packaging, to bringing our beers to our consumers and operating our breweries and offices. We recognise the significance of conserving energy and keeping global warming at bay.

Leveraging Heineken’s climate strategy to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, all our breweries are involved in two core programmes – ‘Aware of Energy ’ and Energy Savings Programme. They are designed to continuously improve and achieve the targets for the use of thermal energy and electricity. These initiatives in turn, reduce the Group’s carbon emissions as a whole.

Water Efficiency

Consistent with the group’s commitment to sustainability, the APB group of breweries has stayed focused on managing, treating and recycling water in all our breweries.

All APB breweries participate in the programme, ‘Aware of Water’ which focuses on the management and treatment of water. Scorecards are in place to ensure that water consumption by all operations is in check. The Group also has its pulse on the best industry practices to continuously enhance its efficiency of water use.
