Joint Venture In New Zealand

Pursuant to Rule 704(15) of the Listing Manual of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, the Board of Directors of Asia Pacific Breweries Limited (the “Company”) wishes to announce that the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, DB Breweries Limited (“DB”), a company incorporated in New Zealand, has entered into a joint venture with Three Jays Ltd (“JJJ”) to form a new company, Trinity Hospitality Company Limited (“Trinity”), a company incorporated in New Zealand.

DB will inject approximately NZ$387,000 in cash into Trinity for a 60 per cent equity stake, while JJJ will inject approximately NZ$258,000 in cash into Trinity for the balance 40 per cent stake. Trinity will own, manage and operate a bar and microbrewery on-premise outlet in Wellington trading as The Temperance.

The investments are not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets per share or earnings per share of the Company for the current financial year.

None of the Directors or controlling shareholders of the Company has any interest, direct or indirect in the investments.
