New Appointments in APB

Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd is pleased to announce the following changes in its senior management team:

Mr Malcolm Tan will assume the position of Regional Director, China on 1 December 2009. In this new role, Mr Tan will now lead and oversee APB's entire operations and businesses as well as investment activities in China.

Mr Tan joined APB in 1990 and spent his last 14 years establishing the Group's business in Hainan and the South China market. During his stints as Marketing Director of Shanghai Asia Pacific Brewery Co. Ltd, General Manager of Hainan Asia Pacific Brewery Company Ltd, and then General Manager, South China Cluster, Heineken-APB (China) Management Services Co Ltd (HAPBC) which he took on in 2006, Mr Tan successfully led the Group's business and grew APB's beer brands such as Tiger and Anchor in Hainan as well as the affluent cities of the South China market.

Mr Bennett Neo, who is currently General Manager, Asia Pacific Breweries (Singapore) Pte Ltd (APBS), will be taking on the role of Regional Director, Singapore Cluster and Cambodia Brewery Limited (CBL) with effect from 1 December 2009. As Regional Director, he will be accountable for the profitability of the business operations and business development activities in Singapore and Cambodia; as well as APB's export markets under Tiger Export Private Limited.

Having joined the Group in 2005, Mr Neo navigated Tiger's expansion in the UK and Europe where the award-winning brew stands as one of the most-loved Asian beer brands, and was responsible for the beer brand's development and growth in Singapore market.

Mr Michael Chin will succeed Mr Bennett Neo as General Manager, APBS on 1 January 2010. He will be responsible for the overall management of APBS' strategic and operational matters including sales, marketing, technical and business development in Singapore.

With this, Mr Chin will relinquish his role as Sales Director of Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB), a position which he has held since 2006. Having joined GAB in 2002, Mr Chin has played a pivotal role in growing sales and driving the expansion of GAB's beer brands in the Malaysian beer market. APB owns a 25.5% stake in GAB.
