Asia Pacific Breweries Limited (APB) today is one of the key players in the beer industry and together with Heineken Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (HAP) is operating as the regional hub for HEINEKEN in Asia-Pacific. APB was originally established in 1931 as a joint venture between HEINEKEN and Fraser and Neave. The company went on to open its first brewery in Singapore and launched the award-winning Tiger beer a year later. Over time, it took its business beyond Singapore and added new beer brands to its portfolio of brews. In 2012, Fraser and Neave sold its direct and indirect shares in APB to HEINEKEN. A successful mandatory general offer followed and HEINEKEN acquired full control of the company, creating a stronger platform for growth across the region.
