THAILAND

To tap the opportunities in the Thai beer market where beer consumption is amongst the highest in Asia, APB entered Thailand when it established a joint venture company, Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co., Ltd (TAPB) in 1993. Partners of the joint venture include Thai Life Insurance Company Limited and Thai Pure Drinks Company Limited.

The brewery of TAPB was commissioned in 1995 when it initially only brewed and marketed Heineken beer. To cater to the varied consumer needs, the brewery later added Tiger beer and its variant, Tiger Crystal Light as well as Cheers and Cheers Xtra to its brand portfolio for the Thai beer market.
